Bergmann Associates is currently seeking a bridge engineer / senior bridge engineer for the Transportation Group in our Rochester, NY Office. This is a fabulous opportunity to join a team that has a solid reputation and large client base having completed numerous award winning bridge projects throughout the northeast.

In this role you will be responsible for the direct preparation and checking of bridge design computations and structural analyses, technical report preparation, developing specifications and periodic bridge inspections. The qualified candidate will also serve as a technical advisor and mentor for junior staff and be responsible for the delegation of technical tasks and coordination of project work with other engineering disciplines, technicians and administrative staff. Applicants must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be committed to being an engaged member of highly productive design teams.

Qualifications:

• Must have significant experience with the design of State DOT, County and municipal owned bridges using AASHTO guidelines
• NYS P.E. required, or ability to obtain
• Experience with AutoCad, Microstation a plus but not required
• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Masters Degree a plus
• 8+ years of experience
