NYSATE Mini Conference
IT’S NOT EASY BEING GREEN, this year’s conference theme seeks to highlight how it’s good practice to incorporate concepts and technologies that are friendly to Mother Earth when engineering transportation projects, but being green is not always as easy as it sounds. The eleven technical sessions, many providing PDH credits, will focus on topics that face that challenge such as local trail projects, the Route 590 highway project in Irondequoit, High Speed Rail in New York State, wind power and the tunnel project in Niagara Falls to name a few. Participants seeking PDH credits can collect up to six in one day for just $10. Local firms will exhibit their products and services and a fuel cell powered car from GM will be on display. During lunch, the 2010 NYSATE Section 4 Engineer of the Year will be announced.
Registration materials will be available soon. For more information about the conference or membership with NYSATE, contact the president and conference chairperson Howard Ressel at 272-3372.
